October 4, 2024: Gastonia, NC 28056 Gaston Christian Eagles (Gastonia, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC), 5-2 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Gaston Christian moves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC) to clash with the Indians in a NCISAA Metrolina test on Tuesday, October 8. The Indians come into the test with a record of 5-10. Westminster Catawba Christian lost 3-1 in their recent league test against Concord Academy (Concord, NC)
The Raptors now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Community School of Davidson for a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A test on Monday, October 7. Mountain Island Charter will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 2-2 league Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 4-6.
