Illinois High School Football - Madison crushed by University City
October 4, 2025: Madison, IL 62060 University City Lions (St. Louis, MO) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Madison Trojans (Madison, IL), 62-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, University City advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Lions host Normandy (St. Louis, MO) to play the Vikings in a St. Louis Suburban - Blue battle on Thursday, October 9. The Vikings go into the battle with a record of 1-5. Normandy won 26-18 in their recent non-league match against Confluence Prep Academy/Grand Center Arts Academy (St. Louis, MO)
Coming up next, the Trojans play the Marquette Catholic Explorers (Alton, IL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 10. Madison will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Explorers go into the battle with a 4-2 record after their 24-0 non-league loss to Heyworth (Heyworth, IL).
