In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Ambassador Christian School Lions volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Mooresville Blue Devils.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Davie County War Eagles (Mocksville, NC) in a North Piedmont 6A/7A challenge, on Tuesday, October 7. Mooresville will attempt to advance on its 15-5 season record. The War Eagles go into the test with a 9-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Statesville (Statesville, NC).
