October 4, 2025: Lexington, KY 40507 Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) and the visiting Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers (Harned, KY), observed Sayre's volleyball team top Breckinridge County by a count of 2-0.
The Spartans (23-4) will now prepare for their contest against Bryan Station (Lexington, KY). The Defenders enter the District 42 contest with a 14-14 record. In their last contest, Bryan Station notched a victory over Madison Central (Richmond, KY), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Fighting Tigers encounter the Apollo Eagles (Owensboro, KY) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 4. Breckinridge County will attempt to improve on its 20-6 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 18-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Daviess County (Owensboro, KY).
