South Carolina High School Volleyball - Greenwood can't get by York
October 4, 2025: Greenwood, SC 29649 York Cougars (York, SC) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Greenwood Eagles (Greenwood, SC), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, York improves its record to 13-4 on the season. The Cougars host Richland Northeast (Columbia, SC) to meet the Cavaliers in a AAAA Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, October 7. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 2-11. Richland Northeast lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC)
Next, the Eagles meet the Palmetto Mustangs (Williamston, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 4. Greenwood will attempt to upgrade on its 10-19 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to St. Joseph's Catholic (Greenville, SC).
