The Marion Wildcats volleyball team (Marion, IL), was knocked off 2-0 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Fighting Cardinals (Norris City, IL)

The Fighting Cardinals (23-1) will now prepare for their contest against Thompsonville (Thompsonville, IL). The enter the Greater Egyptian contest with a 3-18 record.

Next, the Wildcats battle the Carbondale Terriers (Carbondale, IL) in a South Seven battle, on Tuesday, October 7. Marion will attempt to improve on its 13-12 season record. The Terriers go into the battle with a 11-12 record after their 2-1 league loss to Centralia (Centralia, IL).
