The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the Trico Pioneers (Campbell Hill, IL) and the host New Athens Yellow Jackets (New Athens, IL), observed Trico's volleyball team top New Athens by a count of 2-0.

The Pioneers (22-6) will now prepare for their contest against Steeleville (Steeleville, IL). The Warriors go into the non-league battle with a 12-8 record. In their last battle, Steeleville achieved victory over Lebanon (Lebanon, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.
