Republic County Buffaloes (Belleville, KS) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Pike Valley Panthers (Scandia, KS), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Buffaloes (10-19) will now prepare for their challenge against Linn (Linn, KS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 15-5 record. In their last challenge, Linn beat Frankfort (Frankfort, KS), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers play the Lakeside Knights (Downs, KS) in a Northern Plains game, on Saturday, October 4. Pike Valley will attempt to advance on its 0-20 season record. The Knights go into the game with a 8-11 record after their 2-0 league loss to St. John's/Tipton Catholic (Beloit, KS).
