October 5, 2023: Morganton, NC 28655 The Patton Panthers football team (Morganton, NC), was knocked off 19-6 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC)
The Hilltoppers (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, East Rutherford knocked off Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC), 64-40, in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brevard for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 12. Patton will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 40-8 non-league win over Chase (Forest City, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 7-0.
