Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Elk Grove Thundering Herd (Elk Grove, CA) and the host Center Cougars (Antelope, CA), observed Elk Grove's volleyball team hold off Center by a count of 2-1.

The Thundering Herd (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove, CA). The Eagles enter the Delta League contest with a 20-5 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Grove was tipped by St. Mary's (Stockton, CA), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
