The Manzano Monarchs held off the visiting Rio Grande Ravens volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Monarchs now have a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santa Fe for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 11. Manzano will confront a Demons team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM). The Demons record now stands at 5-4.

The Ravens (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, Albuquerque held off Capital (Santa Fe, NM), 2-0, in a non-league test.
