The Mountain Heritage Cougars volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Avery County Vikings to 1 in the Cougars league victory on Thursday.

The Cougars now have a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mitchell for a Western Highlands 1A/2A game on Tuesday, October 11.

The Vikings (9-8) will now prepare for their game against Madison (Marshall, NC). The Patriots enter the Western Highlands 1A/2A game with a 4-12 record.
