The Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) volleyball overcame the visiting George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA), 3-0 in Thursday's league outing.

With the win, Galax betters its record to 9-9 on the year. The Maroon Tide host Grayson County (Independence, VA) to face the Blue Devils in a Mountain Empire outing on Tuesday, October 11. The Blue Devils go into the outing with a record of 8-7. Grayson County lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Auburn (Riner, VA)
