In Thursday's league battle, the host Mesa Vista Trojans volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the McCurdy Bobcats.

The Trojans now have a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Escalante for a 2A District 5 test on Saturday, October 8. Mesa Vista will confront a Lobos team coming off a 3-1 league win over Questa (Questa, NM). The Lobos record now stands at 10-2.

The Bobcats (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Penasco (Penasco, NM). The Panthers enter the 2A District 5 test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, Penasco was knocked off by Mora (Mora, NM), 3-0, in a league test.
