October 6, 2023: Indianapolis, IN 46221

In Friday's league match, the host Decatur Central Hawks football squad scored a close 14-7 victory over the Perry Meridian Falcons.

In their next game, the Hawks clash with the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs (Franklin, IN) in a Mid-State match, on Friday, October 13. Decatur Central will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Grizzly Cubs enter the match with a 5-3 record after their 35-21 league win over Greenwood (Greenwood, IN).

The Falcons (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Mooresville (Mooresville, IN). The Pioneers enter the Mid-State match with a 3-5 record. In their last match, Mooresville was nudged by Martinsville (Martinsville, IN), 38-35, in a league match.
