The Wilmington Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA) football edged the host General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA), 49-42 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Greyhounds face the Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 bout, on Friday, October 13. Wilmington will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Rockets enter the bout with a 1-6 record after their 45-7 league loss to Sharon (Sharon, PA).
