New Mexico High School Football - Hot Springs nips Mescalero Apache

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Hot Springs Tigers football squad scored a close 24-18 victory over the Mescalero Apache Chiefs.

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Hatch Valley Bears (Hatch, NM) in a 3A District 3 match, on Friday, October 13. Hot Springs will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Bears enter the match with a 4-3 record after their 47-0 non-league win over Capitan (Capitan, NM).

The Chiefs (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Estancia (Estancia, NM). The Bears enter the 2A District 3 match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, Estancia was nudged by Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM), 56-14, in a non-league match.
