The Union Spartans football team (Rose Hill, NC), was ripped 55-8 in Friday's league challenge with the host Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC)

The Eagles (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against North Duplin (Calypso, NC). The Rebels come into the Carolina 1A challenge with a 5-2 record.

The Spartans now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Duplin for a Carolina 1A challenge on Friday, October 13. Union will meet a Rebels team coming off a 23-15 league loss to Lakewood (Roseboro, NC). The Rebels record now stands at 5-2.
