October 6, 2023: Mathis, TX 78368 The Goliad Tigers topped the host Mathis Pirates volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Friday's league test.
The Tigers now have a 31-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Poth for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 10. Goliad will confront a Pirates team coming off a 3-0 league win over Karnes City (Karnes City, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 13-25.
The Pirates (6-22) will now prepare for their test against Yorktown (Yorktown, TX). The Wildcats enter the non-league test with a 11-21 record. In their last test, Yorktown was knocked off by Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX), 3-1, in a league test.
