Vermont High School Soccer - Winooski knocks off Richford
October 6, 2025: Richford, VT 05476 The Winooski Spartans soccer squad scored 10 points and held the host Richford Falcons to 0 in the Spartans non-league victory on Monday.
The Spartans now hold a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Middlebury for a non-league game on Wednesday, October 8. Winooski will face a Tigers team coming off a 2-1 league win over Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT). The Tigers record now stands at 4-6.
The Falcons (1-7) will now prepare for their game against Bellows Free Academy (Fairfax, VT). The Bullets enter the Mountain game with a 4-7 record. In their last game, Bellows Free Academy was overwhelmed by Paine Mountain (Williamstown, VT), 5-2, in a league bout.
