The Vikings (8-8) will now prepare for their battle against Rosman (Rosman, NC). The Tigers come into the Western Highlands 1A/2A battle with a 13-1 record. In their last battle, Rosman achieved victory over Draughn (Valdese, NC), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Patriots encounter the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A battle, on Thursday, October 14. Madison will attempt to advance on its 1-14 season record. The Warhorses come into the battle with a 9-9 record after their 3-2 league loss to Avery County (Newland, NC).
