In Friday's league match, the visiting Turner Ashby Knights football squad scored a good 34-20 victory over the Broadway Gobblers.

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA) in a Valley match, on Friday, October 14. Turner Ashby will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Trailblazers enter the match with a 5-1 record after their 25-20 league win over Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA).

The Gobblers (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA). The Blue Streaks enter the Valley match with a 0-6 record. In their last match, Harrisonburg dropped by Staunton (Staunton, VA), 7-0, in a non-league match.
