October 7, 2022: Mt. Pleasant, IA 52641 The Mt. Pleasant Panthers football team (Mt. Pleasant, IA), was beaten 41-33 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA)
The Grayhounds (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty (North Liberty, IA). The Lightning come into the 4A District 3 challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Liberty achieved victory over Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA), 49-0, in a league challenge.
The Panthers now sport a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clinton for a 4A District 3 challenge on Friday, October 14. Mt. Pleasant will meet a River Kings team coming off a 55-7 league win over North Scott (Eldridge, IA). The River Kings record now stands at 2-4.
