The Clifton Central Comets football team (Clifton, IL), was tipped 39-32 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Iroquois West Raiders (Gilman, IL)

The Raiders (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Dwight/Gardner-South Wilmington (Dwight, IL). The Trojans come into the Vermilion Valley - North challenge with a 1-5 record.

The Comets now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Seneca for a Vermilion Valley - North challenge on Friday, October 14. Clifton Central will meet a Fighting Irish team coming off a 54-0 league win over Momence (Momence, IL). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 6-0.
