In Friday's league match, the visiting Freeman Falcons football squad scored a close 50-48 victory over the Thayer Central Titans.

In their next game, the Falcons clash with the Palmyra Panthers (Palmyra, NE) in a D1 District 2 (8 Man) match, on Thursday, October 13. Freeman will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 6-1 record after their 58-42 league win over Southern (Wymore, NE).

The Titans (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Johnson County Central (Tecumseh, NE). The Thunderbirds enter the D1 District 2 (8 Man) match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, Johnson County Central was nudged by Exeter-Milligan/Friend (Exeter, NE), 52-12, in a league match.
