The Rondout Valley Ganders football team (Accord, NY), was beaten 20-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Highland Huskies (Highland, NY)

The Huskies (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY). The Presidents come into the non-league challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Roosevelt was beaten by Burke Catholic (Goshen, NY), 24-12, in a non-league challenge.

The Ganders now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marlboro Central for a Section 9 B challenge on Friday, October 14. Rondout Valley will meet a Dukes team coming off a 35-6 league win over Liberty (Liberty, NY). The Dukes record now stands at 3-3.
