In Friday's league match, the host Panther Creek Catamounts football squad scored a close 35-28 victory over the Middle Creek Mustangs.

In their next game, the Catamounts clash with the Green Level Gators (Cary, NC) in a 4A East Conference 29 match, on Friday, October 14. Panther Creek will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Gators enter the match with a 2-5 record after their 33-7 league loss to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC).

The Mustangs (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Apex (Apex, NC). The Cougars enter the 4A East Conference 29 match with a 7-0 record. In their last match, Apex held off Apex Friendship (Apex, NC), 42-14, in a league match.
