The Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) football defeated the host Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 34-23 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Raiders face the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) in a 3A/4A East Conference 24 bout, on Friday, October 14. Richmond will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the bout with a 6-1 record after their 40-23 league loss to Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC).
