Illinois High School Football - St. Thomas More smashes Metro-East Lutheran

October 7, 2023: Champaign, IL 61822

The St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) football routed the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), 62-7 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Sabers clash with the St. Anne Cardinals (St. Anne, IL) in a 8-Man Central 1 (8 Man) bout, on Saturday, October 14. St. Thomas More will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Cardinals enter the bout with a 2-5 record after their 63-16 league win over Schlarman (Danville, IL).

The Knights (2-5) will now prepare for their bout against Christian Life/Keith Country Day/Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy (Rockford, IL). The enter the non-league bout with a 3-4 record. In their last bout, Christian Life/Keith Country Day/Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy was crushed by Orangeville (Orangeville, IL), 56-18, in a non-league bout.
