North East Grape Pickers (North East, PA) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Grape Pickers confront the Conneaut Area Eagles (Linesville, PA) in a District 10 Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, October 10. North East will attempt to better on its 9-3 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Cambridge Springs (Cambridge Springs, PA).

The Mustangs now have a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilmington for a District 10 Region 1 challenge on Thursday, October 12.
