Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Girard knocks off Conneaut Area
October 7, 2023: Girard, PA 16417 Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Conneaut Area Eagles (Linesville, PA), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Yellowjackets confront the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 challenge, on Monday, October 9. Girard will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Lakers come into the test with a 9-4 record after their 1-0 league win over Harbor Creek (Harborcreek, PA).
With the loss, Conneaut Area drops to 0-9 on the season. The Eagles travel to Sharon (Sharon, PA) to encounter the Tigers in a District 10 Region 2 test on Monday, October 9. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 3-10. Sharon lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA)
