California High School Volleyball - Whitney over Hawthorne
October 7, 2023: Hawthorne, CA 90250 Whitney Wildcats (Cerritos, CA) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Hawthorne Cougars (Hawthorne, CA), 2-0 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Wildcats battle the Fairmont Prep Huskies (Anaheim, CA) in a non-league match, on Sunday, October 8. Whitney will attempt to advance on its 12-15 season record. The Huskies come into the match with a 1-13 record after their 2--1 non-league loss to Sierra Vista (Baldwin Park, CA).
With the loss, Hawthorne drops to 3-11 on the campaign. The Cougars host Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills, CA) to battle the Normans in a Ocean match on Monday, October 9. The Normans come into the match with a record of 6-16. Beverly Hills lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Taft (Woodland Hills, CA)
