The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the The Vanguard School Coursers (Colorado Springs, CO) and the host Swink Lions (Swink, CO), saw The Vanguard School's volleyball squad nip Swink by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, The Vanguard School upgrades its record to 13-5 on the year. The Coursers travel to Atlas Preparatory School (Colorado Springs, CO) to play the Gryphons in a 3A/2A/4A Tri-Peaks bout on Tuesday, October 10. The Gryphons go into the bout with a record of 0-10. Atlas Preparatory School lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Salida (Salida, CO)

The Lions now own a 11-6 record. They play next when they host Las Animas for a 2A/1A Santa Fe bout on Tuesday, October 10. Swink will play a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Crowley County (Ordway, CO). The Trojans record now stands at 8-9.
