North Carolina High School Football - Laney triumphant over South Brunswick
October 7, 2024: Wilmington, NC 28405 The crowd at Monday's league contest between the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) and the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), witnessed Laney's football squad wallop South Brunswick by a tally of 56-3.
The Buccaneers (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Trojans enter the Mideastern 3A/4A contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, West Brunswick was trounced by Hoggard (Wilmington, NC), 49-21, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Cougars battle the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A contest, on Friday, October 11. South Brunswick will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The Pirates enter the contest with a 3-2 record after their 31-20 league win over North Brunswick (Leland, NC).
