Illinois High School Football - Civic Memorial can't hold off Highland
October 7, 2024: Bethalto, IL 62010 Highland Bulldogs (Highland, IL) followers went home in high spirits Monday as they saw their football team tip the host Civic Memorial Eagles (Bethalto, IL), 24-18 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Highland advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Triad (Troy, IL) to play the Knights in a non-league battle on Monday, October 14. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 1-0.
The Eagles now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Waterloo for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 10. Civic Memorial will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Jersey (Jerseyville, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-2.
