October 7, 2025: Compton, CA 90222 Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Compton Early College Rising Phoenix (Compton, CA) and the visiting Pacific Lutheran Stingrays (Gardena, CA), observed Compton Early College's volleyball squad achieve victory over Pacific Lutheran by a score of 3-1.
With the win, Compton Early College improves its record to 5-7 on the season. The Rising Phoenix host Environmental Charter (Lawndale, CA) to encounter the White Tigers in a Mulholland test on Thursday, October 9. The White Tigers go into the test with a record of 0-6. Environmental Charter lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Ambassador (Torrance, CA)
Next, the Stingrays meet the Shalhevet Firehawks (Los Angeles, CA) in a Mulholland challenge, on Wednesday, October 8. Pacific Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Firehawks go into the test with a 3-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to de Toledo (West Hills, CA).
