Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Pillow Academy Mustangs (Greenwood, MS), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars (4-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Madison-Ridgeland Academy (Madison, MS). The Patriots enter the non-league challenge with a 27-15 record. In their last challenge, Madison-Ridgeland Academy got by Regents (Oxford, MS), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
