The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Olean Huskies (Olean, NY) and the visiting Chautauqua Lake Thunderbirds (Mayville, NY), saw Olean's volleyball squad nip Chautauqua Lake by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Olean upgrades its record to 2-2 on the year. The Huskies host Portville (Portville, NY) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 13. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 5-1.

The Thunderbirds (17-12) will now prepare for their game against Falconer (Falconer, NY). The Golden Falcons enter the Section 6 CCAA Central game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Falconer was nudged by Southwestern (Jamestown, NY), 3-0, in a league game.
