The Long Rebels football squad scored 38 points and restricted the visiting Cottonwood Bears to 12 in the Rebels league victory on Friday.

The Rebels now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Geneva County for a 2A Region 2 battle on Friday, October 15. Long will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 40-21 league win over Houston County (Columbia, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-3.

Coming up next, the Bears play the Zion Chapel Rebels (Jack, AL) in a 2A Region 2 battle, on Friday, October 15. Cottonwood will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Rebels enter the battle with a 0-7 record after their 42-6 league loss to Ariton (Ariton, AL).
