October 8, 2021: Nanticoke, PA 18634 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans (Nanticoke, PA) and the visiting Montrose Meteors (Montrose, PA), observed Greater Nanticoke Area's football squad bounce Montrose by a count of 50-14.
The Trojans now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Holy Redeemer for a Wyoming Valley 3A-A contest on Saturday, October 16. Greater Nanticoke Area will play a Royals squad coming off a 46-38 league loss to Hanover Area (Hanover Township, PA). The Royals record now stands at 1-6.
Coming up next, the Meteors play the Susquehanna Sabers (Susquehanna, PA) in a Lackawanna 4 contest, on Saturday, October 16. Montrose will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Sabers go into the contest with a 1-6 record after their 52-26 non-league loss to Carbondale Area (Carbondale, PA).
