October 8, 2024: Newburgh, NY 12550 Valley Central Vikings (Montgomery, NY) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Valley Central advances its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Vikings host Warwick (Warwick, NY) to clash with the Wildcats in a Section 9 Division III test on Thursday, October 10. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 9-3. Warwick lost 3-2 in their recent league test against Goshen Central (Goshen, NY)
The Goldbacks now have a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they host Middletown for a Section 9 Division I test on Thursday, October 10. Newburgh Free Academy will clash with a Middie Bears team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY). The Middie Bears record now stands at 0-7.
