Match Summary

Our Varsity team had a well-fought match. The Lady Eagles were good at handling the ball and delivering it to their hitters, but their hitting was defendable. In the first two sets, our team struggled with our backcourt passing and our setting, including putting the ball too close to the net and allowing the taller Eagles players to get plays on it. We struggled to set up our own effective plays and let their blocking intimidate us. Finally, in the third Set, we were able to get more of a hitting game going and ended up delivering three K's. The set stayed close, but we pulled out the win! In the fourth set, the Eagles started showing signs of getting tired, as we put some hitting pressure on them. Unfortunately, we were unable to take full advantage of it, with our serving struggles catching up to us, as well as some errant passing and hitting. In the end, most of our strong servers were off target tonight, which cost us quite a few points and possible scoring opportunities.
