October 8, 2025: Cumberland, VA 23040 Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) followers went home in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their football squad smash the host Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA), 35-0 in a non-league match.
The Chargers (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA). The Knights come into the non-league match with a 0-6 record. In their last match, Buckingham was routed by Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA), 24-6, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Dukes confront the Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, October 15. Cumberland will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 30-0 non-league win over Buckingham (Buckingham, VA).
