New York High School Volleyball - Avon over Wayland-Cohocton
October 8, 2025: Wayland, NY 14572 In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Avon Braves volleyball squad scored a 3-0 win over the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles.
With the win, Avon improves its record to 7-6 on the season. The Braves host Caledonia-Mumford (Caledonia, NY) to face the Raiders in a Section 5 Livingston County II test on Thursday, October 9. The Raiders go into the test with a record of 7-6. Caledonia-Mumford won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Dansville (Dansville, NY)
The Eagles now own a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hornell for a Section 5 Livingston County I test on Wednesday, October 15. Wayland-Cohocton will face a Red Raiders squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Livonia (Livonia, NY). The Red Raiders record now stands at 8-3.
