In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Frontier Cougars volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Valley Lumberjacks.

The Cougars (9-13) will now prepare for their challenge against River (Hannibal, OH). The Pilots come into the non-league challenge with a 11-11 record. In their last challenge, River lost by Caldwell (Caldwell, OH), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lumberjacks play the St. Marys Blue Devils (St. Marys, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 13. Valley will attempt to advance on its 0-7 season record. The Blue Devils go into the test with a 15-10 record after their 2-1 league win over Ritchie County (Ellenboro, WV).
