October 9, 2021: Hermitage, PA 16148 The Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) football edged the visiting Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA), 12-6 in Saturday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Hornets face the Grove City Eagles (Grove City, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, October 16. Hickory will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 5-0 record after their 42-20 non-league win over Titusville (Titusville, PA).
The Rockets (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Girard (Girard, PA). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, Girard was nudged by Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA), 7-0, in a non-league bout.
