Illinois High School Soccer - Thornton knocks off Crete-Monee
October 9, 2024: Harvey, IL 60426 Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL) and the visiting Crete-Monee Warriors (Crete, IL), saw Thornton's soccer squad knock off Crete-Monee by a count of 3-0.
The Wildcats (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Kankakee (Kankakee, IL). The Kays enter the battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Kankakee by Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Warriors battle the Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 12. Crete-Monee will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Steelmen enter the battle with a 11-4 record after their 2-1 league loss to Plainfield North (Plainfield, IL).
