Pennsylvania High School Football - Downingtown East can't hold off Downingtown West
October 9, 2025: Exton, PA 19341 Downingtown West Whippets (Downingtown, PA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the host Downingtown East Cougars (Exton, PA), 7-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Downingtown West improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Whippets host Perkiomen Valley (Collegeville, PA) to play the Vikings in a non-league test on Thursday, October 23. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 4-0.
The Cougars (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Boyertown (Boyertown, PA). The Bears come into the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Boyertown was nipped by Avon Grove (West Grove, PA), 28-7, in a non-league test.
