October 9, 2025: Charlotte, NC 28269 Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) boosters left the game content Thursday as they observed their football squad top the visiting Berry Cardinals (Charlotte, NC), 20-0 in a non-league test.
The Mavericks now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Independence for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 16. Mallard Creek will play a Patriots team coming off a 20-12 non-league loss to Chambers (Charlotte, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 1-5.
The Cardinals (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Vikings come into the non-league test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Central Cabarrus went down by A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC), 35-0, in a non-league test.
