California High School Volleyball - Athenian over Mt. Diablo
October 9, 2025: Danville, CA 94506 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Athenian Owls (Danville, CA) and the visiting Mt. Diablo Red Devils (Concord, CA), saw Athenian's volleyball squad notch a victory over Mt. Diablo by a score of 3-0.
With the win, Athenian improves its record to 9-10 on the season. The Owls travel to Cornerstone Christian (Antioch, CA) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league battle on Monday, October 13. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 11-8. Cornerstone Christian won 3-2 in their recent league battle against Making Waves Academy (Richmond, CA)
The Red Devils now own a 1-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Miramonte for a Diablo-Valley battle on Tuesday, October 14. Mt. Diablo will encounter a Matadors squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Washington (Fremont, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 13-5.
